The MoU aims to foster collaboration between both organisations and reinforce the connection between the European Virtual Worlds ecosystem and the Spanish Extended Reality community. Through this agreement, VWA and INMERSIVA XR will work to identify areas of mutual interest, promote knowledge exchange, support joint communication activities, and explore opportunities for cooperation around relevant initiatives, projects and events.
INMERSIVA XR brings together XR professionals, companies, researchers and enthusiasts in Spain, promoting the visibility, development and adoption of Extended Reality technologies. Its activities are closely aligned with key areas of interest for the Virtual Worlds Partnership, including immersive technologies, extended reality, digital twins, collaborative virtual spaces, interoperability and digital skills.
For the VWA, this agreement represents an important step in strengthening collaboration with national XR ecosystems and ensuring that European Virtual Worlds developments are connected with active communities, industrial actors and innovation networks across Member States.
By joining forces, VWA and INMERSIVA XR aim to support the growth of a more connected, visible and collaborative XR and Virtual Worlds ecosystem, facilitating synergies between European-level initiatives and the Spanish community.
