Not a VWA member yet? Find out about membership. Each group has a Chair, a Co-Chair, active members and a Board liaison or observer. A kick-off meeting, regular meetings, a shared workspace and a defined roadmap give the collaboration a practical structure.
Each group defines outputs that fit its scope and objectives. These can include contributions to SRIA updates, white papers and position papers, policy recommendations, industry guidelines and best practices, workshops and showcases, matchmaking activities, standardisation contributions, educational or dissemination materials, demonstrators or pilots, and inputs to EU consultations or calls.
Groups can discuss upcoming calls, connect interested members and organise matchmaking or brokerage activities. Consortium creation, proposal preparation and competitive proposal development remain outside the Association's formal scope and are managed independently by participating organisations.
The Board reviews the proposal and may approve it, merge it with an existing Working Group, or reject it with feedback. The proposal page explains what to prepare and how proposals are assessed.
Prepare a proposalGroups are reviewed periodically against activity, participation, progress on deliverables and ecosystem impact. Inactive groups may be discontinued. For urgent strategic topics, VWA may create a temporary group through a lightweight fast-track process.
